Spec line Issues
Stealth:
Safe Fall - with the increased height of the walls in NF, Safe Fall is no longer effective at protecting you against massive falling damage. Could the height it protects you against be increased?

With the removal of the Dodger Realm ability, Minstrels evade a lot less than they used to so the evade reactionary styles are much less useful.

Instruments:
Pet Charm: can we have some positive feedback when a charm is recast on a pet? When you cancel the charm you get a message, and when you first charm the pet you get a "XXX is under your control" message, but when you recast the charm (due to resist messages) you do not get this message. Alternatively, could we have a pet charm icon in the buff window?

At present when a Minstrel is either twisiting charm and another song or is "double tapping" charm to avoid the pet resisting the charm, he needs to keep the pet targetted to recast the charm. Would it be possible to change the charm so that if you already have a pet charmed, any subsequent recasts of the charm automatically affect that pet instead of having to retarget the pet continually?

Releasing the pet can be difficult. If you simply click "Release" the pet is automatically recharmed on the next charm pulse. You have to cancel the charm chant THEN click Release. Could this be simplified?

Realm Ability Issues
Mastery of Blocking:
Mastery of blocking was removed from Minstrels in the New Frontiers RA review. This means Minstrels have no way of improving their blocking ability since increased Dex does not get factored into the block chance until you have Mastery of Blocking 1 or one spec point in Shield spec. This has degraded the Minstrel's ability to defend himself.

RR5 Calming Notes:
This RA COULD be a very effective RA, but the observed resist rates are felt to be too high and one frequently gets a "target is enraged and cannot be mezzed" message. This is particularly noticeable on Animist turrets. Can it also be changed to be a ranged AE spell as opposed to a pbae spell since most Minstrels consider it suicide to charge into the enemy.

Speed of Sound:
SoS breaks when ANY action is taken except for healing. This includes starting our own speed song to pick up speed again once SoS has expired. This action should be exempt from the SoS breaking.

There are also issues with pets breaking SoS too easily. Pets should break their own SoS, not their owners.

Ameliorating Melodies:
This RA should heal the caster. Remove access to IP if necessary, but please make AM heal the minstrel either in group or solo. The overwhelming majority of minstrels, bards and skalds are in favour of this change (92% of Minstrels who expressed an opinion were in favour of AM healing the caster and removal of IP).
No plans to change this.
Additionally, there is no feedback from using this RA to indicate that it is active.
Patch 1.70m - The recipients of healing from Ameliorating Melodies will now receive more appropriate text feedback when the spell is in effect.
Dual Threat:
There are many requests that this RA be added to the permitted RAs for Minstrels.

Master Level Abilities
Warlord ML Path:
Overall, the Warlord ML path is substandard. Too many abilities share the same timer to actually be able to use them, and most have a VERY short duration of effect. They are frankly not worth the effort required to acquire them

Sojourner ML 3, Reveal Crystalseed
Sojourner ML 4, Unmake Crystalseed
These ML abilities have a very limited usage and are both used to counter "mines" placed by other ML abilities. These are not worth the effort to acquire them and are wasted abilities.

Convoker ML 4, Speed Trap:
The 2 second casting time of this ML ability is much too short considering the effect it has. This ML ability cancels not only the speed from SoS but the CC immunities it provides. It is easily castable by a group that is being pursued so that it drops in the path of the chasing group. It should have a similar casting time to other traps and wards.
Additionally, the duration of the speed reduction effect lasts too long.

New Frontiers Changes:
Pets and Boats:
It is impossible for charmed pets to keep up with boats in New Frontiers. The boats are too fast and the pets are too slow. This affects all pet casters in NF. The pets should be able to keep up with the boat.

Phoebus Harp:
The stats for the summoned instrument were designed for a Bard and are not appropriate for a Minstrel:
8% spell duration
8% casting speed (only affects demezz and AE mezz castable spells)
10 dex cap
There are much more appropriate stats and bonuses that could be used for the Minstrel version of this harp.

Other Issues
Frontier Hastner speed now overwrites the Minstrel's and their group's speed song if they are too close to the hastner when someone hits it. The hastner speed should never overwrite the speed song in a group that has a minstrel providing it. The hastner spell was changed in response to the AE speed song preventing people from getting hastner speed. Now the problem is reversed. I have to keep reminding my group to cancel hastner speed before we move otherwise group members can be left behind.

There is still issues with greyed out icons when shifting between quickbars.
Need more information - possible bug report.
