How do I keep my ellyl sages from going into melee? |

I've done a lot of charming, and the one thing I can't figure out is how to prevent caster pets from running into melee. It happens seemingly at random when they are far away from their target, and they always switch to melee when the target is meleeing them.

Keep them on passive and direct who they attack then put them back on passive again - same with ANY caster pet. Don't forget you can drag the pet commands to the quickbar and qbind them to make it easier to control
